I tested the logo out upon creation on different backgrounds andit looked ok. The was without the haol of course which came later when I went to make it into an image. The slight white halo in darker colours is not that hard to get rid of.

Thanks for the good font resource site. The real thing now is that there are way too many to choose from and I am having trouble finding one.

Needs to be easily readable.
Not crazy looking.
Not plain looking.

I tried searching by category and by letter and it isnt going too well.

Try Facile Extra Bold. There are also other weights of this face available at that site.

That's what I'd recommend.

That's a 'take off' of a licensed face called Bauhaus. It's okay when it's used in the right place, but I'd suggest it's a little too quirky/old for your project.

Just a note....it´s possible to do an image with that shape working with all kinds of backgrouds....i have one here that i made that does it:
Image

click on it to see it in a diferent backgroud.
The prob is that the png is not accepted by i.e as a transparency (hope the next version will correct that

Version 7 does include transparency support for PNG. All those users who don't upgrade regularly will still pose a problem.

I gave up on the whole idea since as long as the layout is good, most people will be happy with it.
