Graphic Design Primer

For all of you who want to be better visual designers here's a book about the basics. "The Vignelli Cannon" is a free eBook written by famous designer Massimo Vignelli covering the basics of graphic design. A word of warning the book is targeted at print design (the way it used to be done before computers) and is very Neo Swiss so expect large solid type. However, the principles enclosed apply equally to web design as to print.

Reminded me of a lot of things I'd forgotten (or ignored) since design school... Book's available here as a pdf.

Thanks for posting this! I've been design-retarded and burned out, lately (I blame PowerPoint, jQuery and AS3). This is just the thing I need to get my head back into some good design principles, in spite of the incessant helvetica.
