We are using images from flickr and other free photos provider websites on our website, suggest us that if any body file a copyright case against us what will be the solution for this process , and tell us that how we come to know the pics we have used in our sites are copy right reserved, and give me the source if u have.

I think that the best way is to use only content from the source you know (e.g. free image stock) so then you're sure it's a free or another soulution is to buy some from reliable source.

It's also worth to check out wikimedia at wikipedia, the pictures there have their copyright extensively described.

One thing to remember...for those who think that copyright is meaningless.

Copyright infringement is not judged only by whether there has been a commercial use of a copyright work, even when there has been no monetary gain, you can still find yourself on the losing end of a lawsuit and even without some substantial payout, could still be responsible for court costs, those costs can be...significant.

Of course, it helps when you have a couple of lawyers in the family :-]

The safest route is to automatically assume that the photo is copyright protected and is therefore off limits, except for fair use...fair use is not the same as "free" use :-]

Only the author can place a copyrighted work into the public domain, so unless you have more money than g*d, be forewarned, eh :-]
