Keyboard shortcuts don't work in photoshop

I got it from my dad ok it is the real thing trust me. Now how do I fix the problem?

Nothing works? Nothing, at all?

Are you saying Ctrl+A doesn't select all and Ctrl+C doesn't copy? Or, are you trying keyboard shortcuts that are associated with items from the Actions palette? If so, maybe you forgot to install them (the Actions) when you installed Photoshop.

Regular things like step backward and delete. Copy paste etc.
