I swear by Fireworks for most of my graphics work, but it's a bit pricey... something like $400 or so.

I had a demo of Fireworks before. Seemed great. Too bad it only lasted for 31 days and then I needed the activation code.

I loved photoshop CS3 as well, but it was 31 day trial as well.
