Our site's header needs an overhaul (acutally the whole site does)
http://www.extremausa.com

I have had ton of trouble developing a cool header that also includes the navbar.

I want to create a new one using the dropdown menu from this site.
http://www.brainjar.com/dhtml/menubar/
It has that windows file menu feel.

I'd like your opinion, should I have this menu at the very top of the page, or do you think I should make a heading banner and have this below the header?

This is my least favorite thing to do, I know everything there is to know about how to use photoshop, but I don't have an artistic bone in my body.

hehe
I have looked at the site
and the nav bar you want to introduce.
im sorry
but the nav bar is ugly IMO
im sure that flash could probably do a better job, and it would be good at keeping the file size down.

im not sure about the colour scheme on the site
it goes from white, to light blue/green, to some orange and red

get a proper colour scheme going first ;)

Like I said, I hate making graphics.

I know actionscript, but every time I integrate that into flash, it looks like my wife's kindergarten class put it all together. I fall under that 'programmer that has no artistic ability' category. I can't even match my clothes unless they are solid colors and I have a color wheel!

Right now, I'm trying to put together a major redesign of our site and it's a lot of work to it. I've found a programmer to help with the programming and now I'm looking into the design. So, I'm trying to spruce up a bit.

Nucleo, your input is greatly appreciated, I will try to figure a color scheme for our site, and I am planning on using sitewide css to manage it all. I'm using a website called http://www.easyrgb.com to help me match colors.
