merging two image

I am completely unknown to photoshop. I got a few task for adding a small image over big image. I do not know how to do it. Please help.
I have a masthead and I want to add a small logo in part of bigger picture(masthead) there. Every time I have to do work like this.


Please help.

It's easy - open the big image and open the small image. then just drag the small image onto the large image with the black arrow tool (it will automatically form a new layer) and move it to where you want it to be.

You can also look up some tutorials on the web...

When you click on the "small image" layer you then go to Layer>Layer Style>Layer Style (or options, i forget) and in there you can add a few little effects to make the layer stand out a bit whether it be a stroke to create a fine line between the two images, or alternatively you can change the opacity (which will make it more transparent the less the opacity).

Check out these tools, sometimes they can provide something better than what you'd imagine.
