but when i actually open msn, it doesn't show the animation, it just shows 1 pic..do i have the file format wrong?....or does msn simply not allow it ?

so you actually made an animated gif with different frames to animate
and msn doesn't show it?

My guess is msn doesn't allow it.

MSn just formats the picture for their smilie size and it's only still. It kinda sucks, but hey, you get to make your own anyway. And selecting my own window background is an awesome feature as well. AIM has that stupid expressions service, they were all advertisements.

I do not think this has anything to do with MSN messenger though does it? I think MSN chat and MSN messenger are seperate services from Microsoft.

From chat.msn.com it says:

"In order to protect you from spam, unwanted conversations, and advertisements, MSNĀ® Chat is now a subscription service. While you may enter any chat room you like, you must be a subscriber to participate. If you subscribe to any other MSN service, you'll automatically get MSN Chat. MSN Chat is currently available for PC users only."

I tried as well, it didn't work. The tongue wasn't flicking in and out (it was a frog smilie) :)
