New layout, which one?

Hello all,

Well i was bored so i started playing round with photoshop and stock photos. I came up with this layout - HERE

The current layout that i am using is at http://www.wedding-designs.co.uk

What do you guys think i should use. I myself thought that the newest one was the best but my mum reckons the old one and i thought maybe i just like the new one as i aint used to looking at it?

there are a lot of things that I like about the new design. I think it is far superior. The few things that I don't like are the lines that go through the header. It makes it too blury for me. I also do not like that rose being there. (nothing wrong with the rose byitself, it just stands out with the rest of the page.)

You should definately go with the newer one

Personally, I think the pink bkgnd is a little strong. I think they're both very good layouts, but honestly, I really think it's 6 of one and a half dozen of the other.

right i have made the changes (removed scan lines on title, changed main layout color to lighter color, and i reduced the opacity of logo) you can see it by clicking HERE

I agree with what you said about the scanlines and think it looks better now, i am not happy with the logo and am gonna have to spend sometime on that tonight.

Is there anything else that needs doing?

well it is a wedding site and thought my main customers are gonna be female as they normally arrange it, you think i should tone it down?

IMO I like the old one...but as you pointed out I'm a guy...and guys don't go for pink. So, maybe pink is the way to go. However, besides color I have one other issue. The white almost HR that runs below the tabs. I don't really like it at all. Maybe remove it or at least make it skinnier!

im not female, but i can say that not all females go for so much pink, too much pink will make it look like a baby girl site.

white is generally the main colour supported by others like pinks, blues, purples, golds, silvers even black, etc. like you have done mixing in some greens and other natural colous gives it a more real feel.
