C4D r8.5 - Got impatient so I rushed through the lighting and texturing. I really like the modeling, other than the fact that they are 1 solid piece instead of being hinged.

Go here and click on 1,2,3,4 under oakleys.

Thanks for cooperating with my struggles with free web space

if you are going for realism, heres a few comments.

- the lighting in the scene looks fairly staged and lense reflection image doesnt really match it (normal house lighting and environment), id go for a more abstract blurred image in the lense reflection.

- on the reflection on the lense, it also doesnt look right because at the point the lense touches the table (glass?) surface it should reflect the table. if ya get what i mean ;-)

- have you tried using environmental lighting? radiosity lighting

- maybe a subtle grain bump map on the glasses frame would add a nice touch too.

- having a too clean image also make it look fake so maybe try dirty it up a bit (very subtle) this will help take away the computer generated look.

i know its not finished, so im not sure what you were going to do with texturing/lighting but hope that helps ;-)

yes, that looks good

I agree with everything that droid said, and also you may want to add some subtle reflection for the frame of the glasses, It just doesn't look that convincing

other than that, looks awesome, keep it up

all great suggestions thanks guys.

the reflection image is just a picture of my room..i put it on there because it was part of a larger scene that was suppposed to take place in my room.

i put radiosity on but render time went way up and i didnt feel like waiting. i am having trouble nailing the texture on the frame and now im just fed up so i ditched it for a while and went back to my flash work. :?

thanks guys
