Opinions on a layout...

This is a general layout I did for a reptile site I'm working on. At first, it seemed to be to much of a techy look. But after I looked at it for a few minutes a few times and thought, it kind of blends in with what I have planned. It a very simple design relatively as it going to be used as a PN theme and I tend to prefer simple over graphic intensive. Anyway, I'm having a little trouble finding the best place for a logo and text. So I thought you guys could get me some ideas and opinions. I would have posted this in Website Reviews, but it's basically just a work in Photoshop for now. So if this is the wrong forum, feel free to move it.

This is the logo that I hope to be able to put somewhere. It was drew by a friend and colored in Photoshop.

This is the actual layout with text I had planned out. However, I still can't really come up with a good place for the lizard.

All constructive critism welcomed.

Ah, yes, the layout link was spaced so that ended up cutting the url off. Thanks for the fix. The logo tends to work fine though.

Maybe you could merge and resize the images....something like this.....





Sorry I was bored.....lol!

I'm thinking about having the lizard coming up maybe facing the main links so it looks kind of like he's climbing. Still need to play around and see what looks best. Might have to add some sort of design in the blue header to kill some of the space.

looks ok i guess. i really don't like that blue at all, but the lizard
is cool...has good potential. Let us know when you get closer
to finishing so we can see!
