Last week I went to Philadelphia again to meet up with Lostinbeta and
spend the day. We decided to go downtown at night and get some
shots of the city at all lit up. As soon as we got there, it started raining!
But soon enough it let up, and we were able to get what we wanted.

It was a blast and we're planning to do another trip like this into Philly
again, as well as down to Baltimore sometime this summer. Who knows,
this could turn into a cool little tradition. Washington DC isn't that far
either. ;)

I would also like to add, that this is the 2nd time I've gone to meet up
with Shane, and not eaten a cheesesteak! :P

We both took a lot of shots, around 80+ each, but for my batch, this
represents the best. Comments welcome as usual. :D

Wow you took some nice pics!

3rd row down, 3rd in (man on horse)
2nd row down, 3rd in (building)

Are my fav. i love the angle that they have been taken in and the sky looks surreal and moody.

What i think would have looked nice is having pictures of the busy streets leaving the shutter open for a little bit so that it blurs. (dont know if you can do that with digital cameras)

They are all cool. You ever thought about sharing them with people on stock exchange websites? You could earn a lil bit of cash and im sure people would love some of them shots.

You are a very talented photographer and i look fowards to seeing pics from your next outings with LIB in the future.

Thanks for the comments Tone. :D

actually, every shot is open shutter for 1 second or more. The streets
were simply not busy, or I cut them out of the frame of the shot. I used
100% manual settings for these shots, even on digital. I just don't have
the most professional camera (yet).

If you look at the last one, of the bridge, you can see the cars going by.
All the shots would have had movement had I included cars and such. I
really didn't want all the shots to be that way. Some of the other shots
have movement, it's just faint or subtle.

I have thought about putting images out there for stock exchanges, but
I don't take pics for that reason. I just love doing the photography itself.

I have the "shutter bug" 100%.

wow those are great, I love some of the angles of the buildings. I love philly, it has been awhile since I have been. I can't beleive that you haven't eaten a hoagie yet, there awesome!

I wish that it had not rained during the day so you all could have good day shots. But night shots are perfect when the ground is wet IMO

good shoots

Vladdrac: Actually the day was pretty nice, but our original plan was to take night shots, because night shots of the city are so much nicer with the lights and such.... IMO.

It was good times, I enjoyed the photo hunt a lot, I eagerly anticipate doing it in the future.

Here are some of the shots I took.

Those are some really good photos. I really like the night time effect. What script are you using too display the pictures, and do you know where I could get it?

I coded one via PHP before, I use it for my other galleries, but it's poorly constructed and not cross browser friendly. I am hoping to work more with it in the future and expand on it. Until then it's just your run of the mill ghetto rigged barely functionable PHP script.

It's not hard to do by hand though. Since you can copy and paste sections of code and just replace image names and such.

It took me longer to resize the images (and i'm using batch droplets) than it did to code that gallery.
