You'll need a CS2 or Creative Suite Serial Number to access the beta

Is it just me, or does Adobe seem to be trying to sweep Flash under the rug lately ?

No. actually, they recently made available a Beta9 release to Flash 8 Pro and Studio 8 owners. Not much to it at the moment, other than this release includes ActionScript 3.0 support. More of a preview release than anything.

Ah ok, I missed that.

I remembered talk of Adobe and Mozilla Foundation to Open Source Flash Player Scripting Engine & didn't see any mention of Flash in that article so I couldn't help but wonder after I read about their CSS & AJAX ambitions.
Not to mention the Flex Framework that was put out in the open awhile ago.

Photoshop CS2 launch on an Intel Mac: Launch, drum fingers, stare at the ceiling, go for a drive, come back, hope it's ready for use. (Slight exaggeration... slight.)

Photoshop CS3 launch on an Intel Mac: 3 seconds.

Three.
Seconds.

/Happy dance.
