[Using Photoshop CS2]

Is it possible, if you had a photograph for example, to make one side of it gradient transparent? I've wanted to do it so many times, but ended up just forgetting about the idea. Is it possible to do what I ask?

Thanks.

You need to apply a black to white gradient to a layer's 'layer mask'.

See Help > Using Layers > Masking layers (in CS1 anyway)
