reason being is imageready autocreats a new paging file, that is only 40 mb. you can still import images biger, it just uses RAM as a paging file.

if it says 7.48, it is not always accurate, and the image is 7.48, but the program probably uses 30-35 mb of the paging file. so hes left with very little. and in some cases it is not correct by being listed as 7.48 mb in photoshop but when you go and view it in windows it says like 20-30 mb. i was working on a 2 mb file the other day(what fotoshop says) and in windows it was 19.73 mb.
