In a invitation with a temple background and the description of the temple is written and saved as a jepg image in photoshop, now my question is, i want the description of the temple in word document but don't need the temple background, is it possible please explain and help me.

Why can't you just type in the description from the picture?

yes, if it's a jpeg there is no way you can separate out just the text, because effectively it's part of the image. jpegs don't have layers or anything. you'll just have to retype the text.

It is possible, however you'd be quicker just typing the text out.

As for how to do it? i'd have to go and check something out before i could be certain on the best way forward.

Are we to assume you don't have the original photoshop file? If you did, all you'd have to do is hide the background layer and resave it.

Do you mean if he had access to the layers? If that was the case then it would have to be the original PSD file.

hemavathi didn't specify if they had access to the original psd file. If they do, and it was done as it should have been with the background on it's own layer then the solution I posted above will work. Otherwise, crop out the background or just type the text into Word as suggested. Not really many other alternatives.
