Beautiful shot! One of those quiet lonely moments.

Nice shot. Mind if I take a copy and mess with it in photshop (I always ask before I just copy a picture from someone I am capable of asking. Common courtesy)? Theres some filtering idea I'd like to try with it..... :)

Great shot. A bit too stark for my tastes, but still a great shot.

Sure, go for it. As long as you show us the results.

definitely a beautiful shot, nice subject. Although I found some spots REALLY dark and REALLY light, so it washes out any detail in those areas. I'm just not a fan of this, but overall still beautiful.

The shot is actually a surprise to me the way it came out... Its taken with a 'basic' 5mp Canon Digital.

I would love to buy a better camera though, but they are just too expensive

You should give it a little rotation to fix the horizon line so it's not askew. :D

Nice shot, jupiter!

This actually reminds me of a time i was visiting the far north of Scotland and we visited a lakeside town which was just sitting off a river and in the background there was mountains and the water was very still and all you could see was the clearest reflection which just looked stunning. I really wish i had a camera with me at that time as i just thought it was the most beautiful scene i had ever seen.

I really dont want to sound biased here, but if you are going to take some photographs abroad, dont ignore Scotland, i have seen some amazing things in this country which remind me why i love it here so much. I will try and take some pictures of outside my house and i'll let you all see what i wake up to every morning...believe me, its beautiful.

Back on topic though...thats a stunning picture, despite what others say, i really like how the light shines bright on the water near the center and how the dark just surrounds it with the small boat in the middle. I dont know what it is about it i like, i just think its amazing. Well done on the shot Jupiter!!

I went to Scotland about 7 years ago and your right, the scenery is amazing. Edinburgh is my favourite city in the uk.

Unfortunately pix files wouldn't let me upload the full 1.2mb file so the quality isnt at full whack....

But I am receiving too much credit. The photo was a one off. All the others were disasters. But photography is something I would love to go into...

Maybe I will post some of my disasters too! :?
