For the Pentax Optio, people seem to like storing them in Altoids tins. What's the meowing function like? I've taken most of my pictures with a little kodak Advantex camera that you can probably get for about $50. About a year ago I got an old Minolta X-700 from my dad, it's got a 70-210 MM lens that's almost a foot long :( . For my digital pictures I've been using a Sony Handycam DCR-VX2000, it takes 1.7 megapixel images. And yes, I know that's extreme overkill to use as a digital camera but it's all I've got. Right now I'm either going for a new computer or a new digital camera that's at least 4.0 megapixels. I'll have my photo galleries on my website working in a few days, so then I'll post a link.

I use SAMSUNG DIGIMAX 201.

I admit it's not one of the best cameras around at the moment, but for the price around 100 pounds 158.59 dollars, it takes some quite decent pictures (2.1 million pixels). I have provided a product details and sample camera pictures link below. When my new site is uploaded, you will witness it's power

Heres the link to the product details and reviews: http://www.pcphotoreview.com/pscCameras/2,to,3,Megapixel/Samsung,Digimax,201/PRD_144291_3073crx.aspx
Heres the link to the sample pictures:http://www.pbase.com/cameras/samsung/digimax_201

Edit 1/30/2004 : Got the SB-50DX
Edit 2/18/2004 : Got the D100 & MB-D100
Edit 9/04/2004 : Since last update, sold the MB-D100, bought another one, got the MC-20 remote and a few more lenses. Got a new tripod.

Well, my current camera gear consists of the following..

Nikon D100 Digital SLR (6.1MP)
Nikon MB-D100 Battery Pack for D100
Nikon N90s 35mm SLR Camera
Nikon MF-26 Data Back for N90s
Nikon MC-20 Digital Remote Shutter Release
Nikon SB-50DX D-TTL Flash
Nikon 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6D AF Lens
Nikon 50mm f/1.8D AF Lens
Nikon 75-300mm f/4.5-5.6 AF Lens
Sigma 50mm f/2.8 MF Macro Lens
Vivitar 70-210mm f/4.5 MF Macro Lens
Bogen 3001BN Legs & 3030 head

Sony Mavica FD-83 (GREAT macro, but only 1024x768)
Sony Mavica CD-250 (Does 1600x1200, but autofocus on Macro sucks)
HP Photosmart 315 (Just a cheap crappy digital, 1 outta every 20 photos is "ok", none have been outstanding, heh)

Currently on my wishlist...

Nikon 105mm f/2.8 AF Macro Lens
Nikon 300mm f/4 ED-IF AF-S
Nikon 18-70 f/3.5-4.5G ED-IF AF-S DX
Nikon 24-120 f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S VR
Nikon 70-200 f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S VR
TC-17E II 1.7x AF-S AF-I Teleconverter

I'm currently only using a Fuji Finepix 2800. Gets the job done for basic photography and my needs. Hopefully, I'll be able to pick up an digital SLR.

Hey Xzylum, welcome to the site :)

Man, you should trade in that 2800 towards a Fuji S2 Pro.. Go on, I'll lend you a lens or two ;)

hmm... flea market? pawn shop? ;)

I don't know what a 2800's worth these days.. I know the S2 is a coupla hundred bucks more than the D100 I just got... I almost got the S2 instead, but the deal fell through :(

Well, if it's more than the one you just got, I may have to wait until I'm more into photography. The FinePix 2800 is still probably going around $200 or so.
