Does anyone else here ever use photopaint 8? I was just wondering because I haven't seen any posts on using it here.
I still use it after 11 years and I like it a lot more that PS or PSP or any of the other "new" software out there today, it has all of the features of the newer software and a few that have been left out of the new stuff, and some of what they have left out is stuff I like to use often. I have PS and PSP and I do use them on occasion, but PP8 just seems a lot nicer to work with, more predictable and has a more user friendly UI. It also saves in a lot more formats than the others, and it saves files in the formats the others do as well.

Just wondering why it isn't used by more pro's still... I guess the software companies need to make a living too and if everyone knew about this old software and had it, who would buy the shiny new crap they are trying to push? :)

An old friend of mine is very good with PSP. I loved his tubes

His last visit was last month so I know he still lurks around a bit.

Honestly though I've never even heard of Photopaint.

Wow, that's an old review. Nearly 11 years!.

Wow.

It's actually strange to think Ozzu has been around for 6 and a half years too.

Awe I remember that now. Man I haven't messed with Corel since about 1997. No wonder I didn't remember that. I seem to recall it came on a few floppy disks.
