Hi p'ple

Looking for some software that will enable me to make movies made out of a mixture of still images, sound and say MPegs which can then be burned to a DVD and played in a standard machine hooked to a TV.

I'm a number cruncher and so am pretty ignorant of such things. Any pointers on where to start looking would be great.

Thanks in anticipation

Look for guides at places like videohelp.com and afterdawn.com. There are loads of DVD authoring applications, but they vary in price and learning curve. If you want something that'll get you started with just a few clicks (on Windows), consider something like Ulead DVD MovieFactory or Ulead DVD Workshop. For something more sophisticated, or if you're already familiar with Adobe's suite of applications, try Adobe Encore DVD.
