I must say the renders are very good. The lighting in C4D is very impressive.

The refraction in the the wine glass is excellent.

When looking at 3D images generally, sometimes they look too perfect, and it is the imperfection which makes it more real, especially in organic or living form.

Did you trace the splines, nurbs etc of the wine glass, before lathing the, glass shape?

The trouble is that it is largely down to taste, with regards to rendering style.

I have done 3D on and off for 8 years with in print and multi media, and certainly your renders would fit into that area very well. If you want to go further into film industries you would have to tackle more complex models, humans, characters for example.(This is the trouble I have) Having the time to focus on 3D, and putting lots of time into it. And keeping it commercial.

In a nut shell, nice renders. Maybe give yourself a challenge. A bathroom sink, with soap and a tube of toothpast, or somthing like that, with slightly more complex shapes. :D
