Does anyone recognize the font for the words Larkin Building at the top of this picture?

I tried cutting it out and running it through whatthefont with no success.

May be its not a font, but an original vector creation, thats why is not known, I have a little book with hundreds of fonts, and I can search them by type, on the categories where your font may fit like triangular, square, etc. I couldnt find it. You should consider on doing some vectors.

Good luck.

Well, that window was created by Frank Lloyd Wright, so you may be correct.

Been working my way through this project. Here's the basic idea. I'm designing a print ad in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright windows. I've settled on a layout for the frame of the window. This is what I'll be working with

http://www.alaron-nuclear.com/adverts/FLW/Test1.jpg

Now unlike FLW windows, I do need to add text for our services. The text will be part of the metal frame of the window, so I need a font that would look good done up in that same cast iron. The text will be centered in the horizontal window areas, and will be attached to the main frame via thinner metal lines.

Any recommendations on fonts would be great. Any font similar to the one posted in the earlier post would be even better. I'd love to create my own font, but I'm only starting to learn how to do vector graphics, and am on a deadline. Not enough time to learn how to create my own.

I found a font that will work. Agency FB. I'll update the ad as I progress with it for suggestions.

Here's the final version

Comments welcome.

The only "attention to detail" I couldn't quite account for was the dots on the "i"s not being somehow attached to the metal frame. I thought about losing them altogether and see what that looks like.

Thanks SB. I made one more revision, changed a bit of content and added a wood frame against a stocko style background

I really like that.

How did you do the wood frame effect? it looks like you much have smudged some of the wood effect for another kind of effect?
