as previously explained.. by " slot that persons name here" vector shapes [[ images]] are smoother on the edges.. vector shapes are great for printing purposes.. rastersied images when printed become noticable squares.

Illustrator.. I only use for vector shaped images as this is usually for printed works. I very much love the new illustratorcs2

I never trace an image using that trace tool.. it screws up the gradient mesh too much.
