Hey guys I need a suggestion from you all.
I a need to buy a digital video camera, that can shoot videos and take pictures as well. When taking picture to have a least 1.3 megapixels. The price should not exceed $300.
Also this camera should be able to connect to a PC.

I found this:

This camera i have saves it onto the memory card you buy seperately. I own a 256mb memory card which you insert into the camera and with that memory card i can record up to 30 minutes of footage depending on how many (if any) photos there are.

I cant fault this camera. Having said that, this was my first and at the time it cost me £170 (would have been £300, if it wasnt for January Sales). In US Dollars i think that works out to being around $514 (going by todays rates).

But it says you can get it for the amount i showed before. So i wouldnt fault it.

ohh... thats the only bad thing about it.... cause I need to have cassettes , due to the fact that, the country where Im sending the video recordings, they do not allow to have personal PCs, so they can only see it with VCRs and TVs.

Thanks for the suggestion anyways, SB.

anyone else have any other suggestions?

Thank you all

Yes, but what you can do is copy it from the disk onto the computer then transfer it to VHS or DVD or whatever it is they use.

Just a suggestion.

No problems regarding questions. All i will say about the R607 is its something i wont regret buying. I have enjoyed using it and the quality of some photos has been great. Not really used the video much, but again, when i have used it its been alright.

I'd still look around though. I will have a look as well.

The avator? well, just thought i would change it as it is Scotlands St Andrews day on Wednesday. So kinda feeling a bit patriotic :)

You are looking for an older video camera. Newer ones don't use cassettes...and most of them don't use VHS...so you are looking at an actual cassette...and you will need a AV-Converter to get the video digitized to put it on a computer. These types of video cameras usually don't take still shots though.

You can look at Walmart...don't you work there? I would recommend finding one you like in person and then searching for it online...you get a feel for it before you buy it that way.
