Dear Friends

I have a movie file….it is 776 MB. Now I would like to add in my website.. So the file size is too big ….

My questions is
01 – May I reduce my file size?
02 – How is it possible?

Your earlier cooperation is highly appreciated …

cut the file in half...so each one is about 350 mgs each =] or you could try zipping it up or something to make it smaller..but it wouldnt make a big difference

350 Mb instead of 776 Mb? On a website?

You'll want to look into software which will compress the movie into something like an mpeg, possibly reducing the movie dimensions as well.

You could zip it and make it available for download too maybe.

what format is the original movie?

On your website are you going to want the user to stream the movie? Or just available for download?

try windows media encoder 9

i beleive it allows you to tweak the compression and things for you file. Some other things you might want to consider to reduce file size is to lower the movies resolution and trim out unnecessary parts.
