My faith lies with Photoshop, but I suppose I'm biased.

While many good things can be said about Fireworks, Photoshop is the industry standard.

If I was looking at a job candidate and the person knew Fireworks but not Photoshop I would simply skip them. It's that integral.

the phrase "Designing for Dreamweaver" scares me.

Either way, since Adobe now owns Macromedia, we may be looking at a "Fireshop" or "Photoworks" in the near future.

Why does designing for dreamweaver scare you?

I've quite taken to Dreamweaver now. Just because I've started using the FTP support.
