It can be worth it. Do a search in Yahoo for all your top keywords. Are any of the listings on the first page directory listiings? If so, than it is well worth it. contacting google is a waste of time - they just send you snippets of the FAQ you already read... Use the revisit-after and PRAY that they observe it - I've not seen google be too quick at observing these kinds of changes, and/or robots.txt changes - often ignoring robots.txt changes for up to a wee...

Honestly, NFS and linux aren't anywhere as scary to setup as they were even a few short years ago - try some of the freebie distros line white box or centos - preferrably centos. If you really must have a commercial OS - go with Suse - or dare I say it, RedHat - you...
