How could I find out if my service provider is telling the truth or not about any blocked ports? Something tells me they are not telling the truth

No luck with the CMD prompt FTPing 
It says connection closed at remote host. Any other ideas?

Bigwebmaster- I tried connecting to a couple of other FTP sites with similar results. So I can rule out that it is a problem on their end. ModernDestroyer- You check the response to wait time limit?
