Google doesn't like the idea that people pay for links to begin with (didn't phpbb loose all outgoing PR for this?), so I figure that they would frown upon a service like this. Second of all..if it sounds too good to be true, which this does..2 million sites??, it probobly is. You're telling me that...

Other then the admin area looking just a bit better, I really don't see any added benefit of Joomla. I believe it is just what they are going to be calling all future releases of mambo :)

I wasn't referring to spamming, but posting in general. People 'post' (not spam) not only to help others, but obviously to advertise what they have to sell...ok so maybe not all of us, but I bet the majority of us..and taking away backlinks is just one more reason not to.

Well I can only speak from personal experience (as you can see from my join date, I joined forever ago). First of all - I never got the 'email', I'll have to check my UserCP to see if the email listed is up to date (but chances are a lot of people never actually received the email, at least the ones...

You could turn it into a forum for people to share mobile phone hacks. Offer people forwarded email addresses on the @FoneHacks.com domain as in incentive to join up. I second this. The forum idea is a good, one, and you could start it by going through that upkeep process just one more time to get ...

I used to have a site (2+ years ago) where the pages in folders had a higher PR then the pages in root. Then again I worked pretty hard to get them more PR..but I think it disproves this..

It's a good idea to start with, but honestly if your not established why would anyone want to stick their neck out to see if your idea works..
