Thanks for the ideas and links, RichB, I'll try a couple of them out. After searching around a bit I found that it shouldn't be too terribly difficult, so I'll give it all a whirl.

Thanks again!

Hello all, What I'm looking to do is to display a list of the names and URLs from a computer's Favorites folder, and be able to either print them out, or copy/paste them to print from another program. I'm completely aware that this sounds fairly strange, but it's a terribly long and frightening stor...

Alright, thanks for the explanation. I had already changed the field name (impatience :roll:) but just wanted to ask about it. Guess I probably could have just done a search... Hm, this forum seems to have made me lazy...

Thanks for the help!

Alrighty, more of a curiosity than a question, really, but here goes: I recently made a new table in my database and called one of the fields "lock". This resulted in me spending hours trying to figure out why my INSERT query wouldn't work (from a php page; it worked if I did it directly from phpMyA...

Okay, I've tried both winzip and winrar. Zip isn't working out for me, says it'll only handle the .zip files, probably because it's the 'evaluation version' :roll:. Rar gave me an '8 File', which... is interesting. I feel like a complete fool, but more help would be appreciated! :) /jannin Right, an...

Thanks Managedlinks,
I'll give this a shot. I don't at all mind following someone else's lead, just haven't been able to find any good leads anywhere ;)

Thanks again for the help!

Okay, here goes: I'm looking to build a chatroom for my website. And yes, I want to build it; (a) because I haven't before (b) because I have this thing about challenges and (c) because I'd like it to be able to connect to my database. I'm thinking about making it with Java, so I guess I have two qu...

It's been quite a while but I thought I'd just post what I ended up using after all:
Código: [ Select ]
<a href='javaScript:document.FORM_NAME.submit()'>Submit</a>
Works just like a submit button, redirecting to whatever form action and using whatever method you put in th...

Thanks rj, Actually what I ended up doing while waiting for a response here was a sort of mixture of both of your suggestions: I counted how many digits were in the number I had, then added zeros accordingly. Seems strange to me that there would be no function or anything to do it, though. /jannin

I'm looking for a way to turn a one- or two-digit number into three digits, just putting some nifty zeros at the beginning (001 instead of 1, 017 instead of 17...). Any way to force the number of digits?

Thanks in advance!

Heh, yeah, I'd noticed the clicking. Guess I'll do it in Java. I'm just impatient. As are site users. And I refuse to get some free chat, because I want to make one so I can connect it to my db... Demanding, aren't I? Thanks for the input, guess I'll have to pay a little more attention to my java tu...

Just wondering what the general feeling is about a php chat. My problem is that I'm sure I could figure that out, whereas Java is starting to kill me (even though I've hardly started) I understand most of it, it's just driving me insane because I'm impatient. So, here's my question: I am going to cr...
