getURL is intended to load pages OUTSIDE of flash. The best solution is to bring the other swf into your current swf via loadMovieClip() or to create a separate html page containing the new swf and link to the page.

what version of IE are you using? IE6 doesn't recognize :hover on any thing other than an anchor tag. you'll have to use javascript instead

droid has a few nice features (via Boy Genius): one of the fastest processors available with separate GPU, 5mp camera with flash, large high quality screen, first device to ship with Android 2.0 hardware wise it actually does top the iphone 3GS. Does that mean it'll kill the iphone? probably not but...

If you need to edit Flash fla files you will need a copy of Adobe Flash. There's really only one piece of software to choose from. Macromedia Flash was purchased by adobe saveral years ago. Flash CS4 is really Flash 10. You can always download the fully functional trial from adobe.com

Basically what thats saying is you need to create static html pages that contain your entire site content and then use a deep linking system to call the correct flash section based on the page that gets loaded into the browser. I'd look into the SWFAddress library to help with the deep linking. Also...

why not use an alt tag on the image and link the image? Another option is to set the png as the background of the link and then style the link text over the top of that. Otherwise DM is correct. Layering something on top of a clickable object will not allow the click to pass through to the lower lay...
