I like to code everything by hand. I use Dreamweaver, but the code part of it only. I've never used the WYSIWYG part of it. I think hand coding it, like some others have said, will help you get a better grasp of the language and how everything works. After that, it's up to you.

Basically what everybody said was right. You should use tables instead. It's a lot more simpler and you can get more of what you want. BTW, another link to learn some information on tables is http://www.lissaexplains.com . It's a site for younger people to learn HTML...and I'm not ashame...
