I think I will give musiks suggestion a go first and see how things go, thanks for the help everyone (including eric) :) more... looking closer at the site I noticed it uses frames and I wondered if there was any paticular way to include the target in the code. So there is not something that could be uploaded to the webspace that blocks obvious spam ? He gets hundreds of spamails (is that a word?) each week and wouldn't have the time to email the hosts every time a new spammers get his addy.

I see, the website isn't mine, it's a friends and he had it built for him so I told him I may be able to help finding a way to block the hundreds of spam emails he gets each week. Got any suggestions that may help him out ?

Yes it is browser based mail does this mean there's no way to stop the spam ?

I've had a quick look through all the options and there seems to be nowhere to change any settings that filter ip's or email addresses.

Does anybody know if it is possible to block spam to a websites email address, the hosts are network solutions.

I must admit I only came in looking for an answer to a scripting problem but when I saw the depth of the forum and the fact that you didn't get flamed for asking basic questions I liked it so much I bought the company (and when I say bought the company what I actually mean is I bookmarked the site).

Have any of you ever seen on of those homemade fresnel screen projector things in action, according to the website I saw (I forget the URL) you just stick a couple of cardboard boxes together, paint them black, fit the fresnel screen to to it and attatch it to your monitor/portable tv set then flip ...

I can't remember the amount of times I've had to tell my Gran that she can't access the BBC web site through her toaster. It doesn't stop her trying though :)
