ok here is the deal. i'm new, so please don't bash on me too hard

i have 2 pieces of text. One of them I want to scroll from bottom to top. the other I want to fade in and out in the background behind the scrolling text.

the problem I am having is that the text in the background won't fade in and out. The text in the front scrolls fine, but for some reason the background text pops up, and then disapears instead of fading like I have set the alphas to do in the tween.

Hell I even tried converting the tween frames into keyframes.

HELP!

Try to convert the text to a symbol (graphic) then make it to an alpha and fade it.
