Animated tag cloud?

I want to make an animated tag cloud but I'm not sure where to begin.

Take a look at liveplasma.com (not great, but the best example I can find) - the text elements start out centered with 0 font size, then expand and move away from each other simultaneously.

The text elements should be hyperlinks from a MySQL table of the word, popularity integer (to determine font size) and target location.

How would I go about creating something like this? I'm just starting to learn actionscript...any pointers would be great.

PS: It would also be cool if the words could hover around a few pixels to keep the user's attention.[/url]
