I'm building a jukebox app in Adobe Air, and I have run into a small problem.
The jukebox is for use with a touchscreen system, and as such, I want to use a kinetic scroller on any lists (current playlist, album tracklist etc).
I have found a really nice kinetic scroller written in Flex, and I can compile it with flex builder, and get it into my app just fine.
The problem is that I need to be able to pass a list of titles and ID's to the flex component, which the flex component will then display that data, and if one of the titles is clicked, it needs to pass the id back to a function in the parent app (basically it needs to call a javascript function with the id as an argument).
I can get it to take data passed from flashvars and display it, but there are a number of issues I'm running into.
The flex component uses
Code: [ Select ]
<mx:Text width="100%" selectable="false" id="txt">
    <mx:htmlText>
    <![CDATA[
    ...HTML goes here...
    ]]>
    </mx:htmlText>
</mx:Text>
  1. <mx:Text width="100%" selectable="false" id="txt">
  2.     <mx:htmlText>
  3.     <![CDATA[
  4.     ...HTML goes here...
  5.     ]]>
  6.     </mx:htmlText>
  7. </mx:Text>

and I have tried replacing txt.text, and that works, but html markup shows up inline. I have tried replacing txt.htmlText, and that works, and shows the html markup properly, but I can't get any click or onclick calls to work.
Basically, I need to be able to pass a list of items and ID's to the flex component, then be able to click on those items inside the flex component, and pass the ID back out to the parent app (which is really just javascript and HTML).

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
SoS

What component are you using? No guarantee I can help but it might be good to see what the component is expecting.

Actually, I solved it like an hour after I posted this. I used an mx:grid and adjusted the script a bit.
