Hey everyone.
Once again OZZU to the rescue. (I hope)
I have a website with phpnuke 7.5 installed. I have made up a quick 3-d animation for the homepage. Right now it is an avi file. Is it possible to add this to my homepage?

Thank you for any help...Hooch

I should add, I would like to make the avi into an swf file.

well, you have posted this into the flash forum... so i take it you want to use flash to show the AVI?

sure, just import it into flash.
make a new movie clip to make things nice and easy, it will take every frame of the AVI file and put them onto frames in flash.

if i remember correctly, when you do this it prompts you about compression and quality.
need any more help, just ask

I have created a test page.
The graphic works...but it just loops. And you cannot goto the page after.

Is there a tutorial anyone can direct me too?
I have been searching with no luck.

Thanks for any help!!

the graphic works.... you mean the video?

well, on the last frame of the movie clip (in flash)

click on the frame, and bring up the actions window.
type this code in

Code: [ Select ]
getURL("http://thewebsiteurl.com");

obviously change the url

now you say you have phpnuke and want this running as a splash page.
here is how i would do it

on your webhost's ftp move all the php nuke folders into a folder called phpnuke (make a new folder)
then where the phpnuke files have moved from, put the page with the flash in it, call it index.html

then in that code i gave you, change the url to http://www.thewebsitename.com/phpnuke

that way it will not disrupt your install of phpnuke

of course, that is if you want this as a splash page.
if you want this movie inserted onto the index of phpnuke, then you have to edit the welcome message in the phpnuke control panel.

(*Caution*)
if you move all of the contents of the phpnuke folder, you may have to alter some of the config.php file in phpnuke, because it needs to know where exctly the install of phpnuke is... so it needs to know the exact address to the phpnuke install.

have a look inside the phpnuke config file, and see if it has anything about the address of the site.

maybe... just maybe you can edit this in the main phpnuke Admin control panel.
