hi,

I would want to do an image blur, however ive not been able to find the filter button/menu/bar or whatever.

From the tutorials ive seen on the web, its on/should be on the properties menu. It was always referenced to be on Flash Mx8. Mine is Mx2004 and Ive searched through the 'Windows' pull-down menu and tried all the different panel sets, however I cant see anything like 'Filter'.

is there another way to bring up this filter menu/bar?

Krismeister's right you'll have to upgrade to Flash 8 (current version). If you want a blur in MX04 you'll have to do something like this

Upgrade to Flash8?

I thought MX04 was more recent than Flash8.

nope progression is:

Flash 5, Flash MX (ver 6), Flash MX04 (ver 7), Flash 8, Flash 9 (or what ever adobe decides to call it) releasing early next year.
