i've seen it on a couple of sites, and im not sure if its video embedded in flash, or if its flash producing a gaussian blur on an object. Does anyone know if this is passable in flash?

What you can do is make more than a couple motion tweens of the same object going in slightly opposite directions and applying different alphas. If you dont know how to change alpha, make sure its a motion tween and go down to the Properties panel and click the "Color" menu and select alpha.

i think this will create an overlapping effect, i think people will see past the illusion and realize that is multiple objects with alpha fades. No, what i saw was a true gaussian blur, like one that you would make in after effects or photoshop. i wish i could remember what site i saw it on so i could direct people to an example.

Then it might just be an animation of jpg or gif imported into flash.
