hey all again,
iv got a page on my website that is told to open as a window of a cirtain size, and in it will load an exact sized flash movie to fit the full window size, works perfect when tested in flash MX...
but when i upload it onto my server, and accsess the page like a viewer would, the flash movie dosnt fit into the window, because the html page its on has a border between the window edge and the flash movie edge, how do i get rid of this border so my movie fits fully into the window?
thanx for looking :D

blitz,

that probably has something to do with the html code, actually...
make sure all the margins are set to 0.

put something like this in the head of the html doc:
Code: [ Select ]
<style type="text/css">
<!--
body {
    background-color: #000000;
    margin-left: 0px;
    margin-top: 0px;
    margin-right: 0px;
    margin-bottom: 0px;
}
-->
</style>
  1. <style type="text/css">
  2. <!--
  3. body {
  4.     background-color: #000000;
  5.     margin-left: 0px;
  6.     margin-top: 0px;
  7.     margin-right: 0px;
  8.     margin-bottom: 0px;
  9. }
  10. -->
  11. </style>

and if you still got issues, post the url.

peace,
puck

i was just wondering, if its possible to get rid of the Internet explorer status bar (that thing at the bottem of every webpage) by writing in the nessecary code in the html script? i think u can turn it off in your I.E options, but i want my page to tell it not to show.
if thats not possible, is there a way to make the page big enough to hide the status bar behind the windows taskbar?

why am i asking? lol i just want that little extra space :P

thanx for looking :D

hmm. get rid of the Internet explorer status bar ?

Yes, uncheck "Status bar" in the View menu. And you can't do it in your HTML source. However, if you need a predefined window size you should use javascript. You can open windows whithout a toolbar and a titlebar. This way you have more space than a normal window.
You can make this with the javascript window.open function. try to search for a tutorial in google, or look here:

You may want to try some of the code I used on this project. But so far I think it only works on IE. It forces the actual borders out side of the visible desktop area. But there is also javascript that will allow the user to restore(bringing back the general IE functions)
