I have setup some dropdown buttons. When you click on one of the buttons I want it to play the corysponding scene. I have used

on (release) {
gotoAndPlay("Products", "1");
}

in one of the drop down menu buttons. It seems to work for a normal button but doesnt like my dropdowns! Anyone have any ideas? I can send the .Fla if needs be... Thanks in advance, Groove...

OK, I have dealt with is thanks to an earlier post from Lost In Beta. I used the on

(release) {
_root.gotoAndPlay("Scene name")
}

It was a button embedded into a MC in an MC therefore the gotoAndPlay command was redundant.

Should have spent a bit more time reading previous post egh?!
Anyways, thanks guys, if anyone else has a similar problem please pm me, I feel confident with this one!! Groove

is "Scene 5,1" then name of the scene or is "1" the first frame in "Scene 5"... in which case, it should be:

Code: [ Select ]
on(release){
gotoAndPlay("Scene 5",1);
}
  1. on(release){
  2. gotoAndPlay("Scene 5",1);
  3. }
