Button in a scroller

hie all, i'm currently working on a scroller with buttons in it. on release the button calls a movie thru a container. the problem is the button doesnt work in a movie clip. can anyone help me on this. thanks in advance :)

If the movieClip it is inside has button type actions as well (onRollOver, onPress, ect..) it's not allowing the actions of the inner movieClip to fire.

Flash looks at theese actions like a chineese container, (I can't remember what they are called) where you have a big box in front of you with a lid. you can take that lid off to reveal another box inside of that box but until that first lid has been removed you can not touch the box inside.

Theese actions are the lids of the box. Untill you delete the actions of the container you cannot touch the actions within.

the funny thing is the buttons can be trigered if i call 'getURL...' but doesnt work when i call container.loadMovie. anyway.. thanks for the advice joebert, i shall try to remove the top lid :) prolly do more research on this.

If getURL is working, & it's only been placed inside 1 extra movieclip, try
this._parent.container.loadMovie()
