I know when I transfer files from Illustrator to Photoshop the color changes pretty bad, but when I take an image I've created in illustrator and drag it into flash its awful. my greys turn into blue! Has anyone figured out a way solve this problem.

quick update....freehand maintains color in flash...except when I took an image in illustrator and draged it into freehand, color still good. dragged that same image from freehand to flash and color changed.

I guess I can use freehand for now but I'm still a slave to illustrator.

i'm not an expert, but i believe the color palettes have to match
for the colors to remain the same...or closer than what you see
now.

your right. I just opened the file I made in illustrator in freehand and changed the colors there before I imported it into flash. it's a pain but problem solved. I wish i could do all things I'm doing in illustrator in freehand. just don't have the time to sit down and learn all the details of another program.

thanks

I'm glad that works for you, but I find it hard to believe that
importing from Illustrator to Flash is throwing the colors off like
that. I wonder if it's something simple...usually is.

I'll test some tonight and see what happens.

check what colors your working with, make sure it is rgb, an not cmyk or something...

dont drag your illustrator work into flash

save your files as swf in illustrator and import them into flash, this way you will eliminate any virtual memory issues that might arise...

saving files as swf and importing them almost always works =]
