I am having some problems with getting an embedded flash item to seamlessly sit inside a webpage. I am not using web colors since they shouldn't be needed with modern web browsers. However I am using a fairly old version of Flash (Flash 5)! It suits my purposes since I don't really use Flash that much. The web page has a background jpg image made in Photoshop with color profiles removed, the background image blends seemlessly with same color 'created' in html but when I try and embed a flash object with jpg quality at 100% it doesn't quite match (the background color in the flash object looks white). If it is of any help the color I am trying to blend is f5fffa. Is Flash 5 so old that it only outputs in web safe colors? Or is there something else I can do?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't remember that issue in flash 5 but its possible. To rule that out you could always download the demo of the new flash version and try to publish your swf.

You may also want to double click the "problem" image in your library and check to see if there are any compression options set for that image.

Just out of curiosity what happens if you simply fill a layer with your target color (no other content) and place that over the top of your html background?
