could someone help me move my space ship??! please!!

i need to be able to move movie clips...and i know how...yet when i create one with a moving back ground(just 4 frames..not movie clip) it reports 2 errors and wont let me move the space ship:(...the space ship IS a movie clip and in it there is a moving flame...would that affect it at all? any help?!...I REALLY NEED IT!! :?: :?: :idea: :!:

i forgot to mention...i wanna be able to move it with arrow keys!! ** i know how to move things using key frames** and i can control a simple circle with arrow keys...but when i try adding a flame to the space ship( to make it look like it's moving ) i cant control with arrow keys and 2 errors in the output come up!!

Could you post your fla? Or at least the error meassages.

thx for the help...how do i post my fla. or swf. doesnt it have to be on a web site?! here is the error messages:

It's because you are putting the actionscript on a frame when you are supposed to be attaching it to a movieclip symbol (ie the spaceship clip).

i tried putting that script on my movie clip frame 1 instead of just frame 1 of whole thing.....same error reported?!

Not on a frame, on the clip directly. Right click on the movieclip symbol and choose 'Actions' (or if you have the actions panel already opened click on the clip and put the actions in the window after the clip is focused)
