I've often found that when I develop a movie in Flash MX that what the frame looks like in the developer looks different then what it looks like on the actual site or in flash player.

This is what the movie looks like in developer.

This is what the movie looks like on a webpage.

Why is this happening to my movies? It didn't do this at first, so I'm guessing it's a setting I applied, but I have no idea which one. Any ideas?

I can't see what the difference is.

Sice this is an image I'm just thinking it could be because of the JPG export settings. Try setting it to better quality in the movie properties. Of course this will produce a bigger swf.

Sorry I'll be more specific. There is supposed to be a 1 pixel black border around the image. In the developer you can see the 1 pixel black border clearly. On the display page, the left border thickens and the right one disappears. It's really annoying!

I also tried the image at 100% quality, and it still didn't work.

make sure that when you publish your movie, you embed it into html so that it stays the same size. If you change the size of the swf, it changes the shape of the contained material.

if that isnt the problem, you could try a different form of images, rather than using flash to create gfx, try making them in photoshop, and then exporting as a trasparent png.
