Does having Flash front webpage help or hurt your traffic?

Was told that by having flash front webpage, it will slow down loading of page, and therefore translates into lower traffic through your site. Is that correct?

If you're talking about splash pages then unless the site is geared towards entertainment or design, splash pages are a waste of time.
Strong with this one, the sudo is.
