Hey everyone.

I've recently run into a little glitch with this site i'm working on.
On the about me page of the site, I have an external loaded image using the loadMovie function. The only problem i'm running into is that it blinks after the animation of the mask that i'm using finishes. It then blinks again when a button is clicked to go to another page. I know that the loadMovie function is the problem, but i need the image loaded dynamically so that the client can change it in the future....
The problem can be see here http://frankelphotography.com/fpsiteHelp.swf

fla can be found at http://www.frankelphotography.com/fpsiteHelp.zip

think you could help me out? :?

Thanks,
God Bless

PS. what's a good way to make sure that the photo is loaded competely before the user gets to the 'page'? So that the animation can be seen?
Thanks for any help.

i think using the moviecliploader class ...
check its events , its been a while since i used that but its good ...found some :

* MovieClipLoader.onLoadStart() - invoked when loading begins.
* MovieClipLoader.onLoadProgress() - invoked as the loading process progresses.
* MovieClipLoader.getProgress() - progress of the downloaded file(s).
* MovieClipLoader.onLoadInit() - invoked after the actions in first frame of clip have executed.
* MovieClipLoader.onLoadComplete() - invoked when the entire downloaded file has been written to disk.
* MovieClipLoader.onLoadError() - invoked if the clip cannot be loaded.
* MovieClipLoader.unloadClip() - remove movies/images loaded with this method or cancels a load operation in progress.

so you need this " MovieClipLoader.onLoadComplete() " i believe ...

good choice ... there are many examples out there , try googling the phrase "MovieClipLoader class"
and you will end up with thousands of results , what matter is that you need to read about that to understand its concept "callbacks" function ...

what i mean that this class is powerfull , you can assign functions on its events ... e.g

Code: [ Select ]
var moo = new MovieClipLoader() ;
moo.onLoadComplete = function() {
trace("Downloaded");
}
  1. var moo = new MovieClipLoader() ;
  2. moo.onLoadComplete = function() {
  3. trace("Downloaded");
  4. }

you can start at this , its always good to practice while reading tutz ... http://www.actionscript.org/resources/a ... Page1.html
