Embed html into Flash? Possible?

This is my first post on this site, I've searched around and finally (after months of using this place) found a question that hasn't already been answered, as far as I can see anyway.

Basily I'm a bit of a mySpace geek, and after making the start of what is a pretty basic flash/html/css mySpace page http://www.myspace.com/mattlefave I came accross a problem (among others that aren't important right now)

Basicly I want to be able to embed part of the mySpace html into a Flash .swf (the blog section) I'm pretty sure I can do it if I can just work out how to embed html code into a flash file. At the moment I don't even know if it's possible so it would be great if you nice, clever people could help me out, or at least point me in the right direction (hopefully not the door)

Flash will only accept basic html tags. It can also accept some css.
I am gonna say it prolly wont be possible to pull in your blog. But i could be wrong. Try looking into using PHP and XML to maybe help you out with that. A really intersting piece to look at was created by this company:

Go to the 'news map' piece and check it out. They color and size coded and divde by country on who in that country is looking at what news headline the most and most recently. the data they are pulling in comes from google news.
