Hi,

I just created a program in Java and made it into an exe. Everything is cool with that.
Now, I want to add a cool splash screen, that would open, play itself, then run the exe of the program. Is that possible?

Any help appreciated :P

If you are using it as a projector file you can use the fscommand("exec", "file.exe"); command in Flash Actionscript on the last frame of the animation. You would also need to use fscommand("quit"); after the exec command to close the movie if this is a splash.

If you are looking to do this in a webpage, it won't let you... obvious security risk.

Ok, thanks for the prompt reply.

On the last frame I added this one line like you said

fscommand("exec", "test.exe");

I then "Export movie" into the same folder as test.exe.

When I executed the created swf file, the animation jsut kept looping and the program was not executed.
Any reason why this is happening?

Add a stop() action on the last frame to stop the looping.

And I THINK.. (I never work with projector files) that the .exe file you are trying to execute MUST be contained in a directory called fscommand.

Thank you! The 'fscommand' trick did it.

Now, is ther a way to close the whole flash window?
